Xolo's first Windows Phone smartphone, the Win Q900s, has on Wednesday finally gone on sale in India priced at Rs. 9,999.
Initially announced back in June, the Xolo Win Q900s was then available for pre-order at an e-commerce website, Snapdeal. The smartphone was expected to be released in the second week of July; however it seems to have been delayed by more than a month.
In July, the company had even claimed that the Win Q900s will be available on Snapdeal with a 'Buy Now' option; though the handset was still listed as 'out of stock'.
The company confirms that the new Windows Phone 8.1-based smartphone will now be available across physical retail stores as well.
Xolo claims that the Win Q900s smartphone, with a weight of 100 grams, is the lightest Windows Phone smartphone available. The Xolo Win Q900s is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and the first smartphone in the company's lineup to run Windows Phone 8.1.
It features a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) and Dragontrail Glass. The Xolo Win Q900s is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8212) alongside 1GB of RAM and Adreno 302 GPU.
The Xolo Win Q900s sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with PureCel sensor and LED flash, while it also houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone includes 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The smartphone is currently available in Black colour variants only. The smartphone measures 135x67x7mm. The Win Q900s packs an 1800mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 246 hours of standby time on 3G network. The smartphone comes with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB connectivity options.
Xolo had also announced an Android variant of the Win Q900s, the Q900s.
The Xolo Win Q900s joins the likes of recently unveiled budget Windows Phone 8.1smartphones from Micromax, the Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121, priced at Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 9,500 respectively.
